From 1960s psychonaut to 1980s-90s cybernaut, cyber-evangelist Timothy Leary wrote: “Computer screens are magic mirrors, presenting alternative realities at varying degrees of abstraction on command (invocation).”Now 31 years since the invention of the WWW and 27 years since the introduction of the Mosaic browser, these are reflections of ourselves; dismembered portraits multiplied across the virtual network, both the living and the dead, cyber cemeteries and the broken promises of immortality.
